I Am Thirsty

Last year in the summertime is when this unexplained event happened. It was holy week that time, year 2018. I and my closest friend decided to go in Baguio City, Philippines instead on going to the beach. We had this long VL (Vacation Leave), Chong and Go (not their real names) would like to go in Puerto Galera but since it's really hot that time, we've decided to go to the chill part. Well, just to give you a bit background of ours as where we working and how old are we, Chong (34), Go (31) and me (just turned 30). We worked in the same company as a phone banker somewhere in McKinley, Taguig.

Two Persons Holding Drinking Glasses Filled With Beer

So, everything was planned, all our stuffs were ready, we also drink a couple beers before going to sleep as we are all excited and can't sleep. I can remember I was half asleep that time, in my dream, I saw an old woman but I can't see her face, there was something heavy with that dream something that I know to myself that there is 'something' with that old women. We woke up around 4 in the morning, and left Manila at 5. I was not that energetic which I am always that morning, Go noticed it. He even asked, 'Bro, balita diyan? Tahimik mo eh' (Bro, what's up? You're so quiet) Oh by the way, it's Go's place we're we staying. I said 'I'm alright bruh. I was just sleepy' I don't want to tell him the truth because I might end up being laughed out. Chong, was our driver that time, he even made fun of me already being quiet.

The Faceless Girl

It was the year 1997. I was in first year college and was taking up engineering in one of the state universities here in Manila. For me to get to my school, I have to wait for a PUJ (Public Utility Jeep) along Rizal Avenue with a signage of "Mabini-Harrison Plaza" because that is the only jeep that will pass near our school.

I was waiting for a PUJ around 6:15 AM because I have class in Physics at 7:00 AM. I was not in a hurry so I was waiting for a jeepney that is not full.

As I was waiting, a cab stopped in front of me. The driver was like waiting for a passenger when I noticed a girl at the back part of the cab. I just told myself that they might be waiting for the girl's companion. I hailed a jeepney and went to school. Apparently, the cab that stopped in front of me earlier drove and stopped next to the PUJ I was when we were along C.M. Recto Avenue where there was another stop light. I noticed the girl again and this is the part that freaked me out and made me almost go back home. The girl was FACELESS. I also noticed that the cab driver doesn't know that he has a "passenger" because he keeps on stopping to bystanders and trying his luck for a real passenger.

Let me describe to you the girl. She has shoulder length hair and has no eyes, no ears, no nose, no facial feature whatsoever. Just a black hole where the face should be. Since I was freaked out and I can't go back home anymore, I looked away from the cab then the jeepney drove off. I arrived at school 10 minutes before my class and eventually forgot what happened.

I just want to share this with you guys. I don't know what it was that I encountered. Any inputs would be welcome. Thanks and God Bless.

Onlookers

I have always been a skeptic and a little cynical about ghost stories, regardless of how many experiences I've already had, I simply could not reconcile these experiences to who I am, but here goes.
I live in Davao City and used to work for a call center in Tibungco. For those who are familiar with the area, one must know that this is already very near the boundary of my city and certainly very far from where I live. Shift starts at 3:30am so I usually travel to work at 2:00am to avoid being late. While I was walking down the dark road, I saw an old man and an old woman, what was spectacular about the whole thing was that they were dressed in really old costumes. They definitely looked like they were right out of the pages of a history book.

A simple checkered scarf over a white cotton shirt for the old man and a simple white blouse over a long skirt for the old woman. They sat there in silence under a closed store and looked at me. I didn't expect anyone to be awake and wondered if they were travelers from the mountains. I, trying to be my polite self, greeted them "maayong gabii sa inyo" and stopped to face them. They did not reply and I sensed that they were mildly surprised that I greeted them. They continued looking as I stood there facing them and taking their outfits all in. My eyes traveled to the old woman's feet and realized that she had none. That old woman was floating! Maybe it was because I was getting used to these experiences or maybe because I sensed danger, I immediately said "ayaw mog uban, layo pa akong adtuan, basi mawala mo" which roughly translates to "don't follow me to where I am going, the place where I travel to is far and you might get lost. Then I walked away.

I saw what I saw and sometimes I fear that they will know that I know and I can see them. Unlike others who wish to "see" this is something that I do not want, but sometimes have to deal with. I am sharing this experience just so others believe that indeed, there are still those who stay as onlookers in our time and stay.

Ps: Others will think that I was still sleepy. I was not, after 2 years of having similar shifts, you get used to it. Also, I stared at these figures for a long time to make sure I saw what I saw.

Ball

In 2001, right after the Gloria Macapagal Arroyo Administration assumed office in Malacanang Palace in Manila, a couple of us Information Officers from attached agencies of the former Office of the Press Secretary were detailed to our tour of duty at the palace's Press office.

Our group comprised what was then known as the Operations Center. We were directly involved in several information related requirements of the President's travel and state visit plans. We were also involved in the President's Media Interaction team, and the Palace's News Desk. Suffice it to say, we work the clock 24/7.

We were provided with food and accommodation so none of us have to go home every day. We were each given our own weekly two-days off to see our families, feed our pets, do our laundries and pay the bills. After which, we go back to the palace and stay for five days.

Our assigned sleeping quarter was at the "right tower" of the Arlegui Guest House - the same house where Presidents Cory Aquino, Fidel Ramos and Joseph Estrada stayed during their term as presidents.

The right tower is accessed through the bedroom that was once occupied by Presidential daughter, and media personality Kris Aquino. At that time, the bedroom was designated as the official receiving room of the Press Secretary.

Because the office is scheduled to operate 24 hours a day, we worked in shifts. So it is normal to find three or four people working at the staff area during the night shift, while the rest (often three or four people or less) are found snoring in the sleeping quarters.

Within the six months that we've stayed in the said area, every one of us had a story to tell, and all of them bordered on the creepy. But one night stood out for me and my friend, Hazel, who was also our media placement officer.

Baby Sister

Me and my sister have an 11 year age gap. So when she was 2 years old and I was already 13 it was then that she to started to learn how to go up and down the stairs. One night, when I came home from school I was feeling woozy and my head was aching so after we ate dinner I quickly went up to my room to sleep.
I turned all the lights off in the second floor of our house and went to bed. I can still hear my baby sister playing down stairs not too long after that and I remember the TV being off. A few seconds later I saw that the lights in my parents' room had been turned on when I turned it off earlier and the door in my room was opened by a little shadow who I thought was my sister. The light from the other room bothered me so much that I had to get up and turned it off my self.

I was so pissed off by what happened since I specifically said that they shouldn't have let my sister go up the stairs because of my massive head ache and she might fall from it. So I went down stairs to my mom but I didn't see my sister anywhere.

I asked her: "Ma, why did you let her go up stairs? She bothered my sleep!" My mom's answer was something I didn't expect, she said: "Who? Your sister? Your cousin took your sister to their house 30 minutes ago..." That's when I realized that light switch was too high for my sister to reach even if she used a chair on which wasn't available that time. And that's when I started to ask myself who was making the "baby playing" noises when the TV was off and no other house near us had a baby?

So who might have it been? It certainly wasn't my sister.

2nd Floor Lodging House

These experiences happened last year 2012 one of the lodging houses in Iligan City. I know the name of the lodge but I will not tell since the lodge might lose its publicity. It was Friday night at 8pm of the evening my cousin JR and I decided to take a couple of drinks in a bar with my girlfriend Clarisse and his girlfriend Mercy.

We were having much fun and we didn't notice the time, when I looked up in the clock it was already 10:30pm and my transportation to get home is very difficult. The last trip (JEEPNEYS) for the terminal is until 9pm only. So I decided that we take a lodging house in the city to let the night pass by.
